Beer + Chocolate Pairings

PILSNER: We recommend starting off with a light beer and easy-going chocolate. Universal crowd-pleasers like a pilsner and hazelnut chocolate (hello, nutella!) are the perfect pairing. Both are silky and smooth, so perfect complements to one another.
HIGHWAYMAN: Chocolate and peanut butter - a classic combo! The nutty flavor paired with the sweetness of the chocolate expertly balances the Belgian yeast in our Highwayman Belgian Session Ale.
WILSON: If you haven't tried dark chocolate with chipotle chilis, you're seriously missing out. If you haven't had this with a Wilson IPA on-hand, you're just doing Valentine's Day wrong. The citrusy bitterness of Wilson excellently contrasts the spicy sweetness of the chilis. A pairing we'd take well beyond Valentine's Day!
AVARICE & GREED: A pairing so good we couldn't recommend just one! Avarice & Greed Belgian Golden Ale is smooth, strong and complex. For this reason, we love pairing it with some fruity sweetness and dark chocolate to amp up the flavor. We recommend you grab some A&G, a large helping of raspberry infused dark chocolates AND some chocolate-covered strawberries (it is Valentine's Day, after all) and go to town. Thank us later!
SIREN SONG: Siren Song, our almost 15% Belgian Strong Ale is smooth, sweet and boozy with notes of caramel. To complement that flavor profile, we recommend choose a strong dark chocolate with roasted almonds to bring out the caramel flavors.
DREADED BEAST: Dreaded Beast, our Imperial Stout, is reminiscent of chocolate and coffee, with smooth smoky notes. To emphasize those flavors, we pair it with a dark chocolate, sea salt and caramel concoction that will send your tastebuds to the moon.
We love using Valentine's Day as an excuse to pair two of our favorite things, but keep in mind you can do this any day of the year. No one is stopping you! Come grab a 6 pack, a pint or a growler fill and pair it with your favorite chocolates. Report back to us, we're always down for some more taste testing!
